Join us for an Experience Day — a chance to explore what learning looks like at Novatio. Sit in on live sessions, meet our educators, and see how our unique model blends AI-driven, personalized academics with real-world skills. Whether you're curious about our approach or considering enrollment, this is the perfect way to get a feel for our community and how we support every learner.
Complete a short form with basic information about your child and family. Submit report cards or transcripts, proof of residency, immunization records and a birth certificate, immunization records or exemption form.
After our admissions committee reviews your application, you will be notified of your acceptance within 3 business days.
If accepted, complete the enrollment paperwork, pay the deposit and receive details on orientation and the start date for your child. A school laptop will be shipped to your child covered by tuition!
We’ll get to know your child as a learner by assessing them across all five core subjects and identifying their mastery level in each, so we can personalize their learning plan to exactly where they are.
Our Parent Dashboard will give you access to your student’s progress across multiple metrics in real time. Students will receive quarterly report cards and a parent-teacher conference once a semester. We also complete MAP testing 2-3 times a year.
Novatio doesn’t require state standardized testing! But we do adhere to national standards and utilize MAP testing 2-3 times a year. Testing will take place online.
We take student safety seriously at Novatio. Read more about our online safety protocols.
Our virtual classes vary in size, and because every student’s learning plan and daily curriculum are personalized to their needs, the student-teacher ratios you would expect in a classroom don’t make sense here. Actually, your child will have access to a full academic support team! Their teacher and an assistant teacher are with them throughout the day, they can book a session with an academic coach anytime, and they also have an AI tutor in their dashboard.
4 ½ hours! The day starts with a 30-minute Morning Launch with teacher and classmates, followed by the two hour learning block with snack and bathroom breaks welcome (8:30-11). Then your child will have an hour to step away from the computer, get lunch, and play outside (11-noon). Then they log on for their afternoon Novatio Clubs (noon-2). Then, that’s it! No homework, remember!

If you are an AZ resident with a K-12 child, you can enroll in ESA year round! But enrollment is now open specifically for the 2025/2026 school year. Go here to get started.
If you reside in the State of Arizona, you can apply for an Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) which will cover 100% of your tuition. If you are enrolling from another state, please reach out to us to see what type of tuition assistance may be offered by your state.
At Novatio, it’s like every student has an IEP! Because every student’s learning plan and daily curriculum are tailored to exactly where they are, neurotypical, gifted, and neurodiverse students thrive at Novatio and can advance as quickly or slowly as they need to in order to master a subject. If a student is transferring from another school and has an IEP, we will include that as part of our assessment process for developing your child’s learning plan.
In order to create your child’s personalized learning plan, we assess them across all five core subjects to identify their mastery level at each subject. A child may test in fifth grade for one subject and seventh grade for another. We meet them where they are and build from there.
Note that we are always adapting and integrating new resources and curriculum to fit the needs of our students, so this list is not exhaustive and is subject to change!

Novatio uses the 2-Hour Learning system, which uses AI to evaluate exactly where a student is academically. It then tailors and delivers exactly the curriculum a student needs that day to fill gaps and challenge them, depending on the subject. AI is also used to track every aspect of a student’s progress, identifying areas like mastery, speed of test taking, tendency to rush or skim materials, and more.
The primary role is in personalizing each student’s learning plan to plug gaps where they’re struggling and challenge them where they’re thriving. Sure, they have access to an AI-tutor and other AI-support features, but we find our students are more likely to turn to their teacher or academic coach for support.
Our assessment identifies their mastery level across five core subjects. Our AI model receives this information at the outset to deliver the correct curriculum for the student. But the model also receives daily feedback to adjust what is delivered to the student. Are they flying through something? Are they not getting a concept from one angle and need a different resource delivered? The AI model identifies this in real time and makes adjustments so the learning plan is constantly being tailored to your child.
Our teachers serve as mentors and guides to facilitate student interaction and engagement with each other, monitor students’ individual progress, help them get unstuck or direct them to an academic coach and to mentor and guide them. They are (virtually) present at all times while your child is working through their personalized lessons and assignments online. They are chosen for their energy, love of learning, desire to guide and mentor students and personal resourcefulness (ie. they teach learners how to go after the knowledge they need).
