Discover your child’s mastery level in each subject

On your first day, we’ll get to know your child as a learner by assessing them across all five core subjects. Then, through a few activities and check-ins, we’ll explore their strengths, interests, and any areas where they’d like extra support. This helps us personalize your learning experience from the very beginning—so everything feels relevant, engaging, and right for you.

Learn 2x more in ½ the time

Students cover twice the curriculum of a traditional school in less time through focused instruction and AI-personalized pacing.

6.5x growth

Our model helps students accelerate skills, rebuild confidence, and close learning gaps faster than in a traditional school.

Advance beyond peers

Your child will learn twice as fast as the average student, as measured by NWEA MAP assessments. Our students test in the top 10% nationwide.

Dyslexia support that works

We offer text-to-speech accommodations during assessments and lessons. Students don't have to follow the pace of the classroom and can work at their own pace. Dyslexic student experience at Novatio so far has demonstrated progress up to twice as fast across all subjects with support from our AI tutor.

Real-world skills

Students choose one of our super cool real-world skills clubs (we call them Novatio Clubs for short!) to join and then spend afternoons pursuing their passions and developing real world skills alongside friends. In clubs, students will choose a Masterpiece project and set and meet goals as they go. Novatio Clubs include Technology, Art and Creativity, Puzzles and Games, Business and Entrepreneurship, Writing and Storytelling, and Health and Wellness. New clubs are always being added to fit the interests and needs of our students.

8:00 to Noon – Core Subjects
(Choose your Start Time)

Your child can drop in for two hours anytime in this window! They’ll enter their learning portal for guided, AI-driven, and personalized learning covering math, reading and language arts, science, and social studies. Their classmates will be on screen for interaction when needed, but they’ll be working in their individual portals. Sessions are flexible yet structured, with a teacher always present, offering freedom for students and reassurance for parents. Need a snack or bathroom break? Go right ahead! Their teacher will be monitoring their progress to ensure they stay on track.

Midday – Lunch and Outdoor Break

After the two hours for core academics is complete, we ensure every student has time to step away from the computer, get a bite to eat, read a book, shoot the basketball, ride a bike, or however they can best get rejuvenated during their break.

Noon to 2:00 – Real World Skills

From 12–2PM, students shift from academics to real-world skills and work on their chosen Masterpiece project. These sessions feel more like creative recess—fun, collaborative, and designed to build essential life skills.

Why academics +

real-world skills?

At Novatio, pairing academics with real world skills allows learners to become resilient, resourceful, and ready for the next phase of their journey. Traditional education models often squander precious time, leaving students disengaged, unchallenged, or falling behind. Traditional education isn’t just failing to keep pace — it’s extinguishing curiosity and failing to prepare students for their future.

At Novatio, students don’t just study—they build. They start small businesses, code apps, explore theatre, and learn how money works. These real world skills bring learning to life and help kids discover what they’re capable of. They advance beyond their peers and walk through the world with confidence.

Build friendships! Virtual learning meets real community

Just because it’s an online school doesn’t mean kids are learning alone. At Novatio, students connect through group projects, clubs, and virtual hangouts. Friendships form naturally as they collaborate and grow together. Many even “hang out” outside of class!

What does AI-driven learning mean?

What does AI-driven mean?

keyboard_arrow_down

Novatio uses the 2-Hour Learning system, which uses AI to evaluate exactly where a student is academically. It then tailors and delivers exactly the curriculum a student needs that day to fill gaps and challenge them, depending on the subject. AI is also used to track every aspect of a student’s progress, identifying areas like mastery, speed of test taking, tendency to rush or skim materials, and more.

What role does AI play at Novatio?

keyboard_arrow_down

The primary role is in personalizing each student’s learning plan to plug gaps where they’re struggling and challenge them where they’re thriving. Sure, they have access to an AI-tutor and other AI-support features, but we find our students are more likely to turn to their teacher or academic coach for support.

What role do teachers play if AI is involved?

keyboard_arrow_down

Our teachers serve as mentors and guides to facilitate student interaction and engagement with each other, monitor students’ individual progress, help them get unstuck or direct them to an academic coach and to mentor and guide them. They are (virtually) present at all times while your child is working through their personalized lessons and assignments online. They are chosen for their energy, love of learning, desire to guide and mentor students and personal resourcefulness (ie. they teach learners how to go after the knowledge they need).

How does AI-driven learning tailor to my child?

keyboard_arrow_down

Our assessment identifies their mastery level across five core subjects. Our AI model receives this information at the outset to deliver the correct curriculum for the student. But the model also receives daily feedback to adjust what is delivered to the student. Are they flying through something? Are they not getting a concept from one angle and need a different resource delivered? The AI model identifies this in real time and makes adjustments so the learning plan is constantly being tailored to your child.

Are there protections in place for AI use?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes! We take your child’s safety and security seriously at Novatio. Here’s how we secure our technology:

  • School-Managed Platforms: Only secure, school-approved platforms are used for instruction.
  • Individual Access Controls: Students and staff access systems through unique logins; parent access is provided when appropriate.
  • Screen Monitoring: All student on-screen activity is recorded and monitored for safety and engagement via GoGuardian
  • Firewalls & Content Filters: Robust technology is in place to block inappropriate content and prevent external threats since our schools provide laptops to all students
